I will not support a guy that cannot get basic facts right about the team, it makes me question everything he writes. On other hand the other newspaper calls us by our proper name, I can deal with that. If they start calling us Lafayette then I will look for another option for info.

Sorry guys, you have to see the big picture--Well after all these years, why throw in the towel to an LSU controlled rag---Go check out what Tulane gets in NO---Buckley has screwed up at times but has also written the most fabulous stories about our Cajuns and has given us the UL wrap on game day!!!! Seeing the UL/Louisiana every day by about 8 parishes has people referring to us by our desired name and despite our requests, the BR rag gives us just the opposite---Come on man be serious!!! Craig our proper name is what it was legally changed to in 1984---Can't give up now!!! Why can you live with a paper that goes against everything that we put on our uniforms and you know that the coaches want to be called by???

No but since 1985 (and based on the after the fact rules implemented) ULM would have to get approval for a name change from the Legislature.

This was not the case prior to 1984.

That would be a nice stance if true.

Except they do not.

UL-Lafayette is illegal and so is Louisiana-Lafayette.
