The rise of Shabazz Napier might hurt his stock a bit too. I'm sure Marlin is getting him in touch with the right people so he can make an educated decision.
It's a win-win for us either way
So do whatever is best for you Elfrid
I don't have a strong opinion, I think UL wins no matter what happens.
Truth is though the scouting game is a stock market and Elfrid's stock had been high since last Summer. He was the talk of the scouting world, and justifiably so.
The thing is, your stock can drop simply because someone else has a stock that is going up. This is because NBA teams have limited slots available. I'm not saying anything we don't already know, but the thing is scouts are also victims of the flavor of the month, or in this case the big performers of the NCAA tournament.
I think his stock has dropped at this moment in time for no other reason than simply a lack of frontal lobe time. By the time the draft rolls around things could level out again.
If the draft were held today, I would recommend he stay. And unless he has a private promise, I would stay. If he has a private promise of a first round pick, I would go.
The stock market is crazy, why even a book about faster trades can make it drop.
That's the long and short of it.

I hope he stays. I hope he understands next year and last year may be the best years of his life. He can play with friends and have fun and not be in a job situation just yet. I understand he may stand to lose some money.. but imagine how much fun it would be to come back and finish out with Long, Sheppard, Big-un, and Rimmer.. imagine.
yes with Kentucky frosh, others declaring, his stock is trending towards the second round round.. he would be wise to wait till next year when the draft is looking weak
Hope this young man makes the best decision for HIM and his family! Thanks for playing 3 seasons with UL, I and many here hope like hell you decide to stay at Louisiana ONE more year, but if not WE understand. I think people like coach Marlin and coach Donovan tend to know the most about your decision.
Remember, Life is about choices, we make good ones or bad ones, but we live by those we make!
