They leave the NFL goal posts up for their games, right?
Hud kept playing the NMSU first three possessions and asking if this is holding the rope.
Look for some serious pizzed off players.
Cajuns win big.
42-3 at the half
63-10 final.
This is why I'm laughing at some of these predictions. i agree that I think it will be closer than many people feel is warranted. The only thing that makes me think we can blow this wide open is that we will have a few extra days of rest after the last few brutal weeks so the guys should have an extra step on the other guys.
One thing to keep in mind: Georgia State is a much stronger second half team. If Hud wants to beat GSU, he needs to do a majority of his scoring in the first half.
Its also a clasic "trap game" with a lightly regarded opponent sandwiched between several traditional important conference games. Even though this is still a conference game I think we tend to overlook its importance between Troy and Moanroe. I know Hud will not be overlooking them I just hope he can get the players focused on them. Hopefully NMSU game was a wakeup call.

Hud is not ever overlooking another opponent in football. There may be some truth to our players coming out flat because they've believed they can do just about anything and beat an opponent. But again, I think a Hud team is less likely to be a victim of that scenario than 95% of the FBS.
I've rarely, in the past, heard us claiming that one of our victories was because we were on the other end of the "trap game". And we used to be, on paper at the very least, a "trap opponent". We can't have it both ways.
You are fairly new to us... but we are a second half team as well. Troy was an anomaly due to only having 4 days rest. Otherwise, we own the second half. Our S&C knows no equal in the SBC. If GA St wishes to beat UL, they had better count on way more than the second half.
