And Mitchell certainly was high on many draft boards up and until a (false) heart problem was floated by I think a scout Dr. and the story was picked up in the press.

Please remember EP is still only 19 years old and has just started his junior year. I am very high on him, but to compare him to others of the past while he still has almost two (hopefully) full years left is not fair to him. He is the hardest worker on the court and in the class room.

Jordy was chosen for that broadcast role due to his basektball knowledge, not his ties to our school or his name preferences. Name issues aside, how did he do regarding pure basketball on the broadcast.

One of the reasons Elfrid has become an outstanding player is his ability to get to the rim using either his right or left hand. He had a couple of plays he made look easy last night by going to his left. That is not nearly as easy as it looks. There are thousands of good basketball players who never master the ability to use the off hand.

In the second half it did seem that every time he slipped up with a "Lafayette" he immediately repeated or expounded on his statement and used Louisiana so maybe it's just an old habit and he is working on it. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt after hearing the second half. But he needs to work on it if he is going yo continue to do our games, IMO.

Jordy is just a sideline guy in basketball. He's no play by play guy. Around BR, he's expected to keep his sunbed or artificial tan, interview coaches and former stars, and make commercials.

So are the Cajuns that much better or are the Cowpukes that much worse?
