Got his picture autographed at Homecoming this year and talked to him a little. Really a great guy.

This guy just rules
Isn't it time we put Charles Tillman's name and jersey number on the wall at Cajun Field?!?
1. He is a great player and even better person
2. There is an empty spot there that needs to be filled
3. C'mon. Tyrell Fenroy is up there....
Tillman is a great person and player. I am all for the university honoring him.
Not saying Tillman shoudl not be on the wall but we cannot let the wall get watered down with every NFL player's jersey that played football for UL. Wall should be about outstanding accomplishments made at the University level. Most of those will translate to accomplishments in the NFL as well.
As far as Fenroy being on the wall, the guy rushed for 1,000 yards for 4 years straight. I cant find the stats now but if I remember right, Fenroy is 1 of 8 or so guys in history to accomplish. We will never see that again at UL.
I completely understand your point and agree that we have to protect the honor of the wall by not putting a ton of ppl on it, but I think Charles Tillman is a guy that we will always want our brand/name associated with. Aside from him being a great talent, I just admire the man's character and get pumped up when he says "THE University of Louisiana" on Sunday night football. Tillman should always feel the love from our University.
And yes, Fenroy was really good.
Fenroy was also the first player to rush for a 1000 yards here. Tillman will be on the wall I'm sure.
I want everyone off the wall.
Zero retired numbers.
I think announcers should have the opportunity to mention the greats who wore a number when a current player makes a great play.
Plaques or head busts alongside the Bill "Blackjack" Landry and Keener Cagle plaque would be my choice. Call it the walk of fame, and yes Charles Tillman belongs.
