So what is the consensus on what the mascot should be?

I've always thought the idea of a couple of bulldogs named Ragin and Cajun was pretty cool.

IMO the Pepper is meh.

Mr. Cajun was just bad.

The chicken was ....a chicken. And Russell.

A red BullGator named Zydeco not a mascot, but a crowd spirit leader.

Then on UL's $10 million campus swamp, just name one of the existing Bullgators Louis and another Gator Ana.

What you have in the photo are the absolute worst in all of sports. God, I can only hope nothing like or similar to that ever comes back, truly embarrassed to view this.

I seem to remember in the late 80's or early 90's they brought back a bulldog but it never really took off. I could be wrong but if my memory is correct we had two of them. One called Ragin the other Cajun.

Hahaha. I am not literally talking about Troy Landry himself but why not a Cajun man? I mean ole miss has the colonel looking guy, and to me a Cajun man is one who knows how to survive when the going gets tough (by living off the land), is loyal to his family and friends, and works hard. I mean come on, you have to be pretty fearless to go out on a little boat and wrestle a huge alligator. Also, for comparison sake, bulldogs sleep all day. IDK maybe I am wrong, I am not married to the idea but it would reflect our culture and that is a culture that I am proud of. What is yall's take on this?
