Not getting blown up at Ok st and a win at Fla last week would make HUD alot more attractive than he is now.. Lets not start freaking out.

I dont believe this.
Maybe not increased but certainly not diminished.
People around here must have short memories.
The season we are having right now is at the very least tied for the best season UL has had in the last 25 years.
But you read this place and you would swear that that this program is imploding.
Hud on a national scale is growing not diminishing.

I don't know if diminished is TE proper descriptor but from Tennessee's viewpoint Hud's resume probably reads very much like Dooley's when they went after him so I doubt they repeat that experience. I think they will look for a perceived "bigger" name either a BCS coordinator liely from within the SEC or AQ head coach outside of the SEC.

Let's think here. Tennessee just fired a coach they got from WAC school LTU. He was an utter failure. Yea they are going there again. Not likely. Hud's star has been diminished, he is going to be here in 2013 and probably 2014.

I would be far more concerned about USM than Tennessee, Auburn, Kentucky, or Arkansas. They went form an absolute great season, and multiple very good seasons to disaster in a bottle with their replacement coach. I cannot see him lasting another season. Only UL would be stupid and penny pinching enough to retain an obvious disaster hire. We know his name, it is Baldwin, and Errol Rogers.

Lots of coaching moves are going to be taking place over the next month or so. Hudspeth's next move will be to Miss St or better. I don't think he'd leave for USM right now. I also don't see Mullen going anywhere this year either.

The Tennesse job is John Chavis' to refuse. He has connections to the area. I believe it would be Chavis' dream job. He makes $1.1 million at lsu (Dooley @ $2.29 million).. They can easily bring Chavis in at $3-3.5 million... I guarantee Tennessee is salivating at the opportunity to bring in Chavis' defensive scheme to Knoxville.
If Chavis refuses then i think they would go after Chucky (John Grudden)... They need a defensive minded coach

Dooley had great credentials---H was Saban's guy I think at Miami and obviously did a great job at Tech---great looking and tough recruiter communicator---Remember the LSU game which could have been huge at the time for them---Hey I don't know the story of what happened at Tenn but he sure seemed to have the "no can Lose" image about him!!!

He walked into that job with no qualifications to be a SEC coach. He should have never been given that job. He was in over his head. He should have stayed at LA tech where he was.
