Deanie's, Acme Oyster House.
Mandinas on Canal by Carrollton---Adams Street Grocery for po-Boys----Parkway Bakery by Bayou St John!!!!!
Vincent's on St. Charles has the best italian in the country. Trust me, I even spent 2 weeks in New York trying to find something as good. Also in December, the homeade soda at American Sector in the WW2 museum (chef John Besh's restaurant) is SATSUMA soda. The most delicious thing you will ever put in your mouth. My wife and I make a weekend pilgrimage each year for our birthdays and it always coincides with the N.O. Bowl.
This thread starts and ends with this post. Deanie's is a tradition and one of these days, I'm going to save room for the Gold Brick Sundae for dessert after the charbroiled oysters, BBQ shrimp, and the Crawfish Quartet. I'll also make sure to find time to stop by Houston's on St. Charles and I'm in the market to try the Acme Oyster House for the first time. I'll have to find time for those between trips to Tropical Isle and Pirate's Alley.
I feel like I'm forgetting something...oh yeah, the New Orleans Bowl!

My comment is the same as above. CUSA number 5 means that bowl gets the "5th pick"...not the 5th ranked team in CUSA standings.
