They are a lower profile program in C-USA with no on campus stadium or fan support. He might get a call, but his interest long term is the SEC.

I would think it would be considerably more with all of the concessions sold. I for one always end up spending more on concessions than I do on the ticket. So I guess the real question is whether or not Hud would stay here long term if we could improve the salary substantially.

I think it would be fantastic that after 3 to 5 years Hud has this program as one of the top non-AQ programs and he gets his SEC job. UL would no longer be a coaching death sentence and instead a place awesome coaches want to come to.

And this isnt really all that big a story. Its been in the works for a while, and they already have a replacement lined up
    Are you talking about MSU?

This limits them severely in recruiting, why would HUD leave here when he can basically determine when and where he gets his next job. HUD has the perfect storm brewing here right now, growing support, soon to be new stadium, money coming in like never before and there are 3 SEC jobs that will likely open up within the next 5 years excluding Ole Miss. Dooley won't last more than two more years, reicht at Georgia is on a short leash and finally, HUD's dream job will be open in 3-5 years if Mullen can't get MSU to be the 3rd best program in the West.

IMO HUD will ride this job until he can land one of those three gigs.
For an example of how poorly Tulane is covered in the NO market the story about Toledo's firing is already gone from the home page of their website NOLA.com. It has already been replaced only hours after happening by some routine Saints and LSU filler stories.

Also, Z just sent me a text saying that he is in the NO area and listening to Bobby Hebert on WWL radio pimping Bebe for the Tulane job. That would be quite a match, Bebe and a bunch of Uptown blue bloods. LOL!

How recently did they say that, JB? I wonder if the remark was make based on the attendance projections of last year.

This is one area where we really need to improve. I think if we are going to continue to compete, we are going to have to compete for coaches to. We cannot possibly compete for coaches as long as we are paying at the bottom of the range.

The Times-Piq-yernose is a terrible excuse for a newspaper. They are completely myopic when it comes to college sports. The Cajuns get next to no coverage. Ironic that we actually see better coverage of the Cajuns in the Baton Rouge paper than we do in New Orleans. There are a considerable number of UL alum living in N.O., but you would never know based on the TP's coverage.

Does the RCAF ring a bell? If you haven't already done so, now is the time to step up to the plate. If you are already a member, consider a little larger contribution now, or upon renewal. Winning is fun, but money will be needed to keep this train on the tracks!

Hey, I have an idea. Let's preach to the choir.
