We were a SOAL win short of 9-1 and the top 25 at this point last year. So, that’s something.

This is the AP. Do they make it into the CFP rankings tonight?

JMU has more resources than any school in the conference. Still, our approach of recruiting good HS players, developing them, and helping them grow in life can work.

until a P4 with a huge NIL tree snaps them up - we basically get one year as they show the promise we have developed under todays market conditions

I agree, but I would change the way we treat non-HS recruits. If we are to spend NIL recruiting players from other colleges, I would rather we focus on FCS schools. North Texas has done this bringing in FCS/D2 instead of FBS transfers to exceptional results.

I do not donate to that, so I am not going to complain; I know I am part of the problem.

I still believe in amateur sports; I just don't know where to go to find them!

UL and USM probably have the hardest recruiting area, not only are we bumping up against 5 SEC colleges recruiting footprint but also in the footprint of all of the Louisiana, MS and Texas D1 schools.
