We could be South Louisiana. USL.

Think about it. North Texas, East Carolina, South Louisiana. It fits.

I mean we're nowhere near the size and stature of those other schools, but we can certainly strive to be on their level one day.

The biggest reason and this is just in my head. Is that we had to get rid of the double directional name think of it Southwestern, Southeastern, Northwestern St. Northeast Louisiana University names.
Its kinda like the Eastern, Western, Central Michigans of the world.

I dont think U of South Louisiana would of done it. Plus couldnt Southern claim that ? Southern Univ. of Louisiana is that there official name?

Now in retrospect we should of went with Acadia University not Acadiana University but that is just me.

We changed it so now we need to own it like its ours!!!

If its written into law lets abide by the law. Okay we cant use UL but we can identify us as Louisiana or with an L or with the state silhouette whatever. Okay come up with a logo! Dont always use Ragin Cajuns people already know that.

So in my mind i dont care what LSU, McNeese, LaTech, ULM, or Tulane wants to call us. Lets own it and be done with it if you dont like it then change the law.
