Walker Howard has had a great spring with the UL Ragin’ Cajuns football workouts, UL coach Michael Desormeaux said.

Speaking with Jan Swift of the Discover Lafayette podcast, Desormeaux talked about the former St. Thomas More quarterback who transferred to UL from Ole Miss and other topics heading into the 2025 football season.

Right... and a big time talent split wide to throw it to. Last year defenses would load the box on us. Won't be able to this year.

You got Sampson on one side and Timelord Williams on the other. Both big targets that can take the top off of coverage. You got Charles Robertson working the intermediate and maybe Rahji working underneath. Then you got a capable TE with Caden Jensen as a safety valve. I think this offense is one of the most underrated we've had going into a season and I'm all here for it

Offensively, the right parts are in place. I’m so damn excited.

Walker is at his best when playing at a high tempo. This needs to be a F1 type of offense, like 80 yards in 2 or 3 minutes.
