It’s at the point of being totally ridiculous how negative some on here are. Thank God I don’t have to deal with them.

Tell me again about all the great basketball being played here in the last 15 years. Pointing out that we have failed is not being negative; it is being truthful.

I love the new hire and the players he has brought in. I can almost guarantee you that he will schedule better OOC games than Marlin ever did. I can also guarantee you that we will win some Top 100 NET games against P4 schools with Q. White coaching, which is something that we have not done in over 15 years..

That’s terrific. Let’s go travel to David Letterman U to play the #276 (NET) team in the country. Only for (likely) the #151 ranked team to come here in February, if we are having a good season.

So let’s spend tens of thousands of dollars to play a school that does nothing for you? Makes sense.

The MAC challenge upgraded Marlins scheduling, but now it downgrades coach Q's scheduling.

The first games in the challenge are set by matching up teams who had similar seasons the year prior. It does not consider how teams are expected to perform in the upcoming year in any fashion. I look forward to the opportunity to start the season with a road victory. If we are successful at Ball State, it may help create interest for our first home game.

I don't think we spend tens of thousands of dollars in the MAC-SBC challenge. Our only cost is to travel to Indiana. It is a home and home vs 2 different teams. We pay nothing for the MAC team to come here which will occur later in the season. If we are doing well, we will be matched against one of their top teams later in the season. Note, last year the challenge finished 12 wins for the SBC and 12 wins for the MAC.

My point exactly. Their top team that does nothing for UL or the league from a NET ranking perspective. And this league went 12-12 vs an absolute pitiful basketball conf.

If we are satisfied with this, might as well schedule 28 non-D1’s, save us the $$ and hope to win an auto bid.

This is what Coach Q was hired to lead the program beyond. One can only hope.
