Incorporate the logo and/or helmet either into the various conference seals or a small conf seal into the logo
Help the powers that be envision us in each conference

Not bad, but you have an issue. Look at the logos you referenced, they max out at 3 colors. The logo you have created uses four colors. Printing or sewing a 4-color logo drives up cost.

red, white, black? Maybe some grey. If the grey is the issue just make it white.
