Dude just stop. The longer you go, the sillier your arguments get.

Guys. Administration. Take note. The key for UL athletics not just surviving, but getting to the next level, is making sure we hitch our wagon to Tech.

Ragin9221 Im afraid if I threw you in a barrel full of tiddies, you'd come out sucking your thumb.
If we bring in Tech now and reinforce a compact, regional Sun Belt West, we take pressure off the East. Why? Because stability in the West removes the need for aggressive realignment elsewhere. Travel is manageable, rivalries are natural, and everyone wins on logistics and energy.

But if we don’t act now? The East starts looking for new partners. And when that happens, programs like ECU, UAB, and even FAU become attractive targets. Before long, the East reshapes itself—and the West gets left out.

Adding Tech now isn’t just about one program. It’s about preventing a chain reaction that could fracture the entire conference.

    Let me play along!!

Oh, that’s cute. I didn’t realize we were doing 8th-grade locker room comedy

Keep reaching—one of these days, you might land a real insult.

WKU and MTSU are short-term answers at best. Geographically, they’re Eastern programs. If push comes to shove, they’ll gravitate toward the East, leaving the Western half of the conference isolated, overextended, and without reliable travel partners or rivalry ties.

Unless we pull off a miracle and land North Texas, UTSA, or maybe Missouri State—which is highly unlikely given current conference alignments and institutional trajectories—we’re out of realistic options.

That’s where Tech comes in. Whether people want to admit it or not, Tech is the only program left that checks every box: location, competition level, institutional resources, and—most importantly—built-in rivalries that still stir passion and engagement.

We can’t afford to hold out for a flawless, fantasy scenario. If we do, we’ll miss the best practical fit sitting right in our backyard.
If all the SBC needs is a footprint, invite Lamar.

They will be a powerhouse in six.

That’s a bold move, considering Lamar currently competes in the Southland Conference and doesn’t bring the same FBS football pedigree or market reach that Tech does. While Lamar has a solid athletic tradition and facilities, especially in sports like baseball and basketball, it’s hard to argue they’re a stronger fit than Tech when it comes to football-driven conference realignment.
If the Sun Belt is looking to strengthen its brand and maintain competitive balance, Louisiana Tech still feels like the more natural and impactful addition especially given its FBS status, regional rivalries, and institutional profile

Imagine.....you telling someone about reaching. LoL! Damn. Its crazy that Tech is languishing in CUSA, and NO conference wants them. Can't imagine why. If only you could be hired by Tech as their PR point man, they'd be in the SEC by Monday morning.

Remarkable how you’ve appointed yourself the commissioner of all things collegiate. I’ll be sure to pass along your résumé to the next realignment committee.

You’ve got the narrative down pat—now if only facts were as flexible as your imagination.

freaking so immature!! Cant attack the argument so you got to put me down how classless you have to be!

Keep talking—at this rate, you’ll convince someone. Probably not a conference commissioner, but maybe your group chat.

This conversation has hit peak playground. If your best move is dodging facts and launching personal jabs, you’re not debating—you’re deflecting. That’s not smart, it’s embarrassing. If anyone has an actual argument, bring it. Otherwise, I’ve got better things to do than entertain ego theatrics.

There is a documented sound argument Jay Walker put together and posted it on the CSSN site. However, in Jay’s since UL titled position, he won’t be digging it out. Details many of the reasons the belt as a whole said no a few years ago to Tech.

So someone with time and credentials could find it, it would be nice. And pin it atop RP as a reminder.

Great, get off the thread because the vast majority of replies to you were NO to adding the necksters.
