  1. Default Re: Texas State Informs Sun Belt of Impending Pac-12 Offer

You can learn a lot from "just talking"

Appreciate Jay asking straightforward question if any PAC 12 contact to which Dr. Maggard didn't beat around the bush, directly answered "No". Let's hope SBC replaces TX St. with WKY.

Comfortable is a beautiful place, but nothing grows there.

He didnt really press the issue or give a tough "follow up" as they say....

As far as WKY, for those here that dont want to stay in sunbelt, how would you feel if you got your wish, left sunbelt, then came back?

As if DBM would dare admit to the public that the PAC did reach out. His answer was no regardless of the fact.

If he didn't reach out to the PAC then he's part of the problem and needs to go.
I had high hopes for UL when he first arrived full of ____ and vinegar, but now he seems comfortable and content to be a lifer and a yes man. Sad, really

This has more to do with Martin Hall than DBM. I think he will leave for a better opportunity once Cajun Field is fully completed. Basically, I see him taking a P4 type job within the next couple of years. There is only so much he can control/do. It’s not him, it’s USL.

Absolutely 100% Martin Hall issue. Authement culture has done immeasurable harm to our athletic potential. It may be too late at this point, unless we clean house yesterday.

When is Dr. S retiring and who would replace him? Would it be an internal or external hire? Is there anyone internal who would support a higher level of athletics?
