Cajuns had at least 6 balls today that are doubles or HRs without the wind. Tough conditions to hit each of the last two games. And the 2-0 scores both days show it.

A starting pitcher walking the lead off hitter in the 8th inning was the difference in the game in both games so far. Real good performance by Herrmann. And hats off to Tovar for Texas State. That was a masterpiece, throwing strikes and pitching to the conditions. He also held Coastal to 3 hits in 7 scoreless innings in a win last weekend.

Wind is supposed to turn around tomorrow. I suspect we will see a totally different ball game. I like the Cajuns chances with Tollett on the mound. He’s a sinker ball guy, which is exactly what you want with the wind blowing out.
