Well there are a lot of random individuals on here who use the same old BS tactics to attack anyone they perceive as not worthy of being in their little church group. You get enough of those individuals together into a choir of divisiveness & all you ever end up with your own little church on the corner which never grows & always has the same 15 members they had 40 years ago. So it is with Cajundom. I asked a question about what could have caused this team to puke out a miserable effort like they did in such a big situation for them. I still haven't gotten any kind of an answer which any reasonable fan, or supporter who cares should want to know. Now I'm getting the SOS treatment that I'm a horrible fan & that's why the team lost. Or I'm a horrible fan & therefore have no right to know why the team stank it up. in the conference championship.

I always hear we don't want to be these guys, or those guys mostly in vitriolic jealous terms. Don't worry UL fan. With the attitude of this inner sanctum You DON"T ever ever have to worry about becoming an LSU, a Boise State, or any other consistently successful program. You can rest assured that you will always have your ever dying fan base of 5000 from here until you're all in the grave & no one will take your spot from you. Are you happy now UL fan? You've solved your problems. Congrats

Has anyone come up with a sensible reason why UL just rolled over & crapped the bed last night?

Look, we just didn't have any fire. I think Marshall was out there to prove a point and came out of the gate swinging. We never matched their energy. Sometimes individuals just have bad games. Sometimes the team as a whole just has a bad game. Am I upset about it? You bet. We've had w games, I feel, that we just went out and s___ the bed. Marshall and South Al. I predicted at the beginning of the season that we'd have double digit wins. Overall, I feel like this season was a success. Des has shown improvement and I think He only gets better from here. Next season could be his most challenging yet. I think depending on if we can shore up the line through the portal will determine that. And I dont think anyone can really argue that the staff has done a pretty good job of bringing in, and more importantly, develop, incoming talent. I know I come off as insufferable here, and drone on ad nauseum on things sometimes. (I can already hear some of you, "SOMETIMES?!") but I'm a huge fan, and I'm a realist. Some people don't want to hear it. I get it. I hope nobody takes any of my rantings personally. I love all you guys. And since Vic is on "vacation" I'll say, nobody aggravated me more than him. But I kept inviting him over to visit and he finally did. And you know what? He's a pretty good dude in real life.....still annoying on here, but a good dude.LoL. And I extend the same invite to each and every one of you. Would love to finally meet a bunch of you at some point. This is my sappy Christmas post. At the end of the day, we won 10 games and that's awesome! I think our future is bright, despite our frustration with our admin. But there are a dedicated group of guys that are beginning to take it upon ourselves to make things better. If we all work together and pull the rope in the same direction, we can accomplish some great things. In the meantime.....all your opinions are wrong, and mine are bold, insightful and true! LoL! I agree, Marshall came in with a massive chip on their shoulder & played 60 minutes of Marshall football. What bothered me about this game though & concerns me going forward was the lack of caring coming out of the locker room. I thought this game would be a tight contest & even with losing Fields, they have the talent to go tote to toe with Marshall. I don't believe for one minute that more than 5 of theirs is better than any 5 of UL's. But at no point, especially in the 2nd half, did they show championship pride. I know this team is better than that. I hope they prove it in New Mexico.

The QB didn't matter in THIS game. Nobody is talking about the rest of the season in any other individual game. You know exactly what I'm saying. Not sure why you're trying to move the goal post.

So let me get this straight. You think if Fields doesn't get hurt, we win that game? You don't think it was the fact we got dominated at the LOS on both sides, couldn't tackle, etc etc. That the biggest reason was losing Fields????

Fields got hurt with 3/4 of the game to play and less than a 1 score game. Why would I not think we could have won the game.

My question is why this team didn't come out ready in the 1st half followed up with why they didn't come out to play in the 2nd half either. And has anyone who has "inside connections" like so many here boast to have found out why? And will it be addressed, or is it that everyone caught the stomach flu at the same time?
