You know, I've read many CFB fans post that they want their school to be a stepping stone job for coaches. They want young, hungry coaches to come in and win so much that they move on and the cycle repeats.

Perhaps that's just perspective we have to view the athletes that come play for our school now. So, maybe continuity at the head coaching spot is how you keep the rudder steered in this stormy CFB era. I know I am comfortable with who is steering.

Like CMD said on Twitter, "Don't lose sight of the guys that CHOOSE to stay here."

Just typing out loud as a coping mechanism while the transfer portal turns lol.

Meh let them go, there heart isn't all the way in the game. Go watch a replay of the championship game and pay attention to effort by Carter, dre'lyn, and Harvey and see if you notice a difference

I wouldn’t concern myself too much with bowl games in today’s landscape. They have become a televised scrimmage between what’s left of the depleted rosters of the 2 schools involved.

We have had 4 wins over power conferences in our history, we have a chance to get 2 in one season and finish 11-3. I hope the team is concerned with the bowl game.

I do like that Des chose to make a comment. Concise, thankful, hopeful for the future. I know this isn't what people mean when they say CMD needs to get out in the community but still good to see him putting out a message to CN on a tough day for the team and fanbase.

Here's a rule everyone should follow with the transfer portal. Don't talk down on a player leaving for the portal while also being happy getting a kid coming in from the portal. Can't have it both ways.

I think this is pretty fair. Even just for selfish reasons. It's a bad look for our program for public bashing to occur, so I hope that doesn't happen on social media. However, I do think a line gets crossed when guys don't give full effort or are checked out while they are still here. Not accusing anyone of that in this situation, but it definitely happens. That is justifiably going to rub fans and donors the wrong way.
