Note I know absolutely nothing about this situation. We had 4 inside guys before this move. Now we have 3. Recall Terrance Lewis was a summer graduate and joined the team when school started in August. I would expect something similar to happen this year.

We have already moved on from Powell. Zeke King, forward from Jackson State is a Cajun. Not a big scorer but he was best rebounder on the JSU team. Best game was 17 points and 10 rebounds at Georgetown. He won’t be intimidated on road as Jackson State played many games on road against major schools. As far as Powell is concerned, he has heard from several major schools since decommitting. Last I heard, he was leaning towards Arkansas.

You are correct in that the name of the newest guy to come aboard is Cook. I agree with CajunT in that he is not as talented on offense as Powell. Scoring he does get comes from picking up garbage around the basket. He is an energy/hustle type guy that fans may appreciate.

He is also 220 pounds and strong. I believe they do plan to use him inside. He had several high rebound number games against talented teams. He must know how to position himself well and likely has good reaction time in order to get the ball coming off the glass.
