They can announce whenever, but the portal doesn't "officially" open until next week.

You can announce anytime you want, but coaches have to wait until the Portal is officially open to speak to a player directly. Graduate students can speak to Coaches now I believe.

He did, but his transcripts weren't transferable to Auburn.

It is important to note that not all of them may ultimately choose to enter the transfer portal. This count excludes seniors, as their eligibility is typically exhausted upon graduation.
