Agreed with the schedule, although we could not have known that.

Nw State was a crappy FCS school no doubt.
ODU is going to be much better than we thought
UAB won a bowl game last year and expectations were they would challenge for a bowl again.
Buffalo won a bowl game last year and they were expected to challenge for the MAC East Championship, not my words, coaches poll, Ahthlon and Phil Steele.
Minnesota was predicted to finish 3rd in the B1G West, they have not looked great at all. Granted the West is much weaker than the East in the B1G, but they were picked behind Wisconsin and Iowa.
Texas State is much improved this year.
Georgia State has an explosive offense and possibly the QB playing the best in the league right now.
USA is good, they just went on the road and beat Oklahoma State
Arkansas State is flat out trash
USM, I don't know what to think of this team yet, but they have Frank Gore JR and he might be the best player in the league.
Troy is good defensively and is going to be a tough game on the road.
ULM doesn't know who they are, but they always challenge us they seem to have a very good defense and running game but suspect in the passing game for sure. I'll get ripped on twitter by some douchbag from ULM that follows raginpagin and gives me hell about Jiya Wright and his QB abilities, but I think it is time for the Jiya Wright experiment to end.

We could not have known how bad Buffalo and UAB were going to be, these are constantly bowl eligible teams.

Can we talk about Jacob Bernard's downfield block on ZC's 80 yard run. Love to see WR's blocking downfield.

Also, we might have gotten away with a tackle that they could have, and I have seen called before for unnecessary roughness. I personally don't think it should be, but that Keyon Martin tackle on the WR from UAB where he picked him up and threw him down has been called in the past. I'm glad it wasn't called Saturday night.

He's only going to get a certain play book, like you said he's a work in progress much like Levi.

Even the UAB broadcast team said that the tackle was not a problem. Perfectly legal doesn’t matter to hallucinating zebras though.

Oh, I agree, I have just seen it called before.

I know why deep balls help. I’m saying if I have give up deep pass accuracy for top tier running ability, I’ll take that trade every day at the our level.

Yeah that’s an illegal tackle for the quarterback in the pocket, or a receiver who hasn’t had a chance to make a defensive move. But running quarterbacks, running backs lose their cloak of invulnerability.

You're right. Our wr's do a good job of blocking downfield. I don't think we have any primadonnas in the wr room. Seem to be a bunch of lunch pail guys.

You don't ever want to take a kid that has the opportunity to be your full-time starting QB at some point in his career and move him to another position. LL2, was a different situation, he was never going to really have the opportunity to start here, with Ben, Chandler, Lunch and Zeon on the roster. The move was mutually beneficial for all parties. But moving a guy who is your projected 2023 starter and your #2 guys this season to another position only means that he is not getting reps at QB, so if you need him at some point this season and/or expect him to start next season, the only thing that does for you is regress any progress he was making at QB and cause him to be so much further behind when he does become your QB.

There are only ever 2 reasons to move any player from 1 position to another. #1 and the most important reason is because that player has a special skill set as an athlete and you need to get him on the field, but he is buried so far down on the depth chart because of the talent you currently have that he is probably never going to see the field at the position he came to you as. That was never the case with ZC, like it was with LL2. ZC was battling for the #2 position since he walked into the Cajun athletic facility. The #2 reason is because you are so depleted at another position, and you don't have any other options. Again, this was not the case with the Cajuns, as we are learning the WR position even without LL2, is a position we don't need to worry about. Robert Williams and Harvey Broussard and Charles Robertson to some extent are going to be what we expected from Kyren Lacy, Errol Rogers and Donta Fleming, but never happened. I think these three that are currently on the team are going to be special not in years to come, but this year. The fact that we have veterans that they can learn from like Leblanc, Bernard and Cambre only make it better for these young men.

Kyle was wrong on both reasons to move ZC. ZC is a QB and was expected to at some point, either earlier or later be the QB for the Cajuns, obviously this happened sooner than we wanted or expected it to occur and secondly, Kyle said our WR group was weak, and he would immediately be an impact player at that position. I kept saying, he was wrong, that group is going to be special. It has proven so far to be that way and that was with Robert Williams missing last week and a new QB playing.

I might have been wrong about who the guy was that was going to be the next Michael Jefferson, I still believe Robert is going to have a great year if he can stay healthy, but Harvey Broussard is going to be redunculous!!!!
I don’t remember the circumstances of the depth chart, but that is exactly what Bustle did with MD in 2006. He played some in the slot and I want to say he played a little DB as well.

Using Ricky bustle as the judgement for what coaches should or shouldn’t do is probably a mistake.
