31-10 Cajuns
31-10 Cajuns
This is not last year's NWST team, that being said, I am not saying they are going to be a good team, but I will say this, probably 50% of their 2 deep will be new transfers from FBS schools.
Coach Laird is on a hot seat. He has to win and has to win this year. He went out and signed a number of FBS transfers to make that happen, otherwise I believe he is done. Brad Laird has an overall HC coaching record at NWST of 16-35 and 15 of those wins were in the Southland Conference. I think Covid saved him otherwise he would have been gone already.
Their starting QB has FBS experience from Wyoming and was pretty good there, he then transferred to Idaho State. They return a number of really good players mixed with a number of transfers. I still think we win by a wide margin, but Coach Laird is putting all of his eggs in this years basket to save his JOB.
38-10
New clock rules…so 34-17.
Some of you have an awfully low opinion of this team...
. . . proof is in the eye of the beholder . . . then they play the games . . . then it is in the video and results . . . I'm going with RR for now . . .
Our defense with the strength of our team last year, with an almost completely new defense on the field and what I saw from the open practice, I'm going to reserve my expectations until we see a few solid performances before I get excited about a successful season.
I like having Ben behind what should be an improved O-Line, but we also have a talent difference at Wide Receiver than what we will have to improve so the RB's will have to carry the load for a little while. I hope we come out and make a statement, but until we see them on the field Saturday, my expectations are limited. Our conference mates are making talent strides while I think we have some holes to fill.
Any word on Lance Legendre?
