Actually the CF (Kennedy) did not see it either. He was not running in the direction of the ball (and was visibly looking for it), though he could have gotten to it. It was about 15 feet in front of Campbell, but he never saw it. The second baseman was running back trying to point it out to the two outfielders, but he could not get to it.
It was twilight … and if you are unable to follow it off of the bat, it can be difficult to find. I feel really bad for Dylan Campbell. He is taking it hard.
Horrible way for a great super regional series to end.
Amazingly, the two outfielders that won the game against the Cajuns defensively (saving the Horns four Cajun runs) are not able to make the play that would have sent the game to extras.

The pitcher who came in after throwing 110 pitches on Saturday thinks he has earned Texas another inning on a routine high pop up. Neither the CF, RF, 2B or SS saw it in the twilight and it just fell with nobody around it. Each could have probably made the play if they saw it. The pitcher stops at about the foul line and bends over in disbelief as Stanford storms the field . . . Really Unbelievable . . .
Pulling for Oral Roberts.
Wow, Stanford won a walk off trip to the College World Series on a pop fly Texas lost in the lights. pic.twitter.com/qrrlg4Skm7
