And 3 of ours strike out in the 2nd.
We might not go a half inning without a walk.
What was going on with the home plate ump in that inning?
Cajuns had their chance in the first inning. The freshman pitcher, who played high school ball with Sam Landry last year, was about to have a nervous breakdown.
Bases loaded no outs, one run. This new pitcher is a totally different deal. Tremendous spin. Lefty. The Cajuns are going to have to play small ball. IMO.
The ump is calling the outside pitch, two inches off the plate, to left handers, a strike. He is calling it for both pitchers. If he continues to do so, the Cajuns will not hit it.

Have we only put 3 balls in play in 3 innings? 2 hits by Campbell and a line out?
We’ve struck out to end each inning with runners on.
Not sure why we’re not going to second to get the lead runner. I ca t think off the top of my head how many double plays we have, but maybe they’re just trying to get the sure out and avoid throwing it away.
Maybe so. They’ve got 2 errors today that have lead to both runs.
