Smith’s 238 ranks 5th in school history.
Only for a fleeting moment after the interception. But overall, I’ve said many times this year that…..unlike many other times in the past….I’ve rarely worrY that we are going to lose. You just know that somehow/someway we will pull it together and get the W in the end.
I did really believe that we would pull away in the 2nd half, and that surely didn’t happen. Like everyone else I just don’t get this team. The wife of a friend of mine who is a very good UL fan, but not much a FB fan, texted me during the game to ask if there were a lot of the team that had not made the trip, lol. Kinda sums it up. I also heard one of the announcers say something I’ve said a bunch of times this year: we seem to play down to the team we are playing. Don’t know what would cause this, but feel like it’s one of the few quibbles I have with CBN.
Once again, I stayed away from this thread all evening. Reading up this morning while drinking my cup of Community Coffee (Dark & Bold Intense Blend), and it delivered everything I expected.
If you didn't see a game like this coming and thought we'd roll and cover the 18 point spread, you're blinder than Helen Keller. Nathan C Pike and Zeebart will vouch that I texted them during the 1st Q and said this game would be ugly, but at the end, we'd still get the W.
I was actually thinking we'd end up winning by 8 or 9, just shy of double digits, but we won regardless. Win by 100, 18 or 1...doesn't matter to me right now, as long as we're 11-1 playing at Cajun Field on December 4.
Today is Friday, and we're all waking up the morning after a W.
