I had dinner with a big ULM ALMUNI booster last night - not because of that, only that he is the father of my sons girlfriend.

I expressed my opinion that if Matt can’t win at ULM, no one can.
He shook his head ....
Also told me that there is only a SMALL group recommending drop to 1AA. He opined that if the next coach does not work out, then the chorus might get louder and they may succumb

I've been thinking they should consider dropping back temporarily. Go to 1AA, rebuild, and then when they move back to 1A they get the extra 20 scholarships to jump-start the return.

We've been in those shoes, almost 50 years ago.

A great coach was fired when he tried unsuccessfully to install the veer offense.
