I just saw the replay. Coach says the play was for Mylik to take the last shot. That would appear to be correct as at first (after Cajun's timeout) Mylik was set to inbound to Cedric. After GASO timeout he had Ced inbound to Mylik. Why did Mylik dribble down the sideline instead of going to the top of the key?!! It looks like the play was to hand off to Ced. Then Ced goes to the top and then gets double teamed! Then he passes to Mylik.
If coach drew that up?!! All we needed was a 2pt. bucket or getting fouled on the attempt. Mylik would have been the best opportunity imho.

Exactly. You needed a 2 point basket to win. You force the defense to defend and possibly foul. We should have been doing this the last couple of minutes anyhow.

When you only score 8 points with a 15 point lead in the last 10 minutes...you need a 20 point lead. Wasted opportunity.

16 point lead but who's counting. We hit a 3 to go up 69-53. Scored 12 points the rest of the way. Credit to their coach. He worked for good shots and got them. They shot over 50% both inside and out of the arc.

I'm certainly not a basketball coach but it's amazing how many defenders crash down on a drive to the basket, thus freeing up 1 or 2 open men for short range baskets. That's what GaSo did down the stretch.

Their shot selection and circus basketball was not a whole lot better than ours down the stretch. The difference was that their 3's went down better than ours. It was pretty bad basketball.

I've already stated my position, it's lost on all thousands of negative posts directed at Marlin.

Maggard has already stated Bob gets a pass this year. Garry got a pass last year for same reason. My position has remained:

Garry has a healthy team. NCAA or NIT this year or time for a change. Same grace for Bob next season...post season or out.

And 6 NCAA appearances since the program came back from suspension doesn't make us a basketball school. Heck, if I remember correctly ULMOST has been 7 times.
