This administration likes his stability too much to do anything even if we continue to finish 4th in conference and not make any NCAA tournaments. He's too much of a comfort blanket for the administration at this point.
I think there is more pressure on the staff at this point than I was led to believe months ago. Still, lots of athleticism on the team we will put on the floor this year. I guarantee we will be improved on defense and on the boards. Chemistry and offense are something I cannot predict. There is a reasonable chance for a high conference finish this year.

That is my Opinion. In my mind if they do not make the NCAA tourney this year, I will consider this season to be a BUST. Coach Marlin has had an above average career at UL. 1-10 on NCAA appearances is what I look at. So this year with all the talent on the team if they do not go dancing, then to me this year will be a BUST.

If the NCAA appearances is what you look at, how can he have had an above average career here?

Point is I would argue his career here is "above average" Reluctantly I would agree but there are so many areas for which I feel he has underperformed. Outside of that, I want to see a strong season. I want to see a more athletic team and more physical team that competes on the boards. I'm happy that it seems he's gotten a totally different type of athlete into the program over the past year but the issue was that those players were here to replace the other players that he recruited.

I want to see a team that can win consistently. A 17-18 team that happens to get hot in March is not a sign of success, its a sign of fortunate timing.

I still can't get over how many people on this board ignore the fact we won a championship just two years ago.
