I think Smart played forward in HS due to his size but I am not sure.

If he does, it won't be soon. His testimony is not until April 22 and the NCAA won't truly investigate until the FBI portion is complete. We may not have any impact to LSU until after next season. They may have made 2 deep NCAA runs by then. If they get minor probation after that, most Tiger fans will say it was worth it. Asked that question to Kevin Foote today and he said getting to the Final Four would definitely be worth it if probation involves vacated wins and loss of six scholarships over three years. He is probably right in that most Tiger fans would take that in a minute. They don't take your NCAA money earned back.

I hope Willie the little freak stick gets a show cause! I actually hate him more that I do LSU.

Wonder if they will ask him to remove his fanny pack from
    Under his pants before questioning

The technicality was that none of the basketball players were found to be benefitting from the classes when other general students were? That's the technicality? The NCAA never wants mud in their face. Their reputation is already questionable at best by most but they refuse to let anyone tarnish their control. I don't think it would matter if UNC did it or Northern Iowa. Look what they did to us in football. Whether we like it or not there are so many institutions that skirt the line trying to get players eligible

Remember, the Feds only showed round one, took a few scalps. Round two is where we are.
    Yep.

The technicality was that the courses were open to all students, even though they were clearly designed for the sole purpose of keeping athletes eligible and had no academic value at all.

i would tend to give benefit of doubt to a university that is consistently in top 30 academic rankings, wheres our neighbors and their conference mates seem to be in a free fall when it comes to academics. a fake class as it was allegedly, still has to be better than no class, as lsu hoops flaunted and didnt get in trouble for
