Status Quo or Changes

Season ticket holder since way before that clown show of 2012. Remember when Matt Deggs came in and saved everybody’s ___ ? Yeah, way before that. I’ll leave it at that. And where in my previous post did I say anything about Robe winning with smoke and mirrors ? Again, this is not an attack on Robe but things need to change and change in a hurry. I respect Robe as a person as well as a coach but as someone posted earlier, the ship has grown much larger now and the heat is on in the kitchen. When you have past and current players that are concerned, even you can’t come up with an excuse for that. That’s called “reality”.

Not sure I'm getting why past players being concerned is some sort of tell-tale sign of something. I mean Andy Gros is just a fan like the rest of us, y'all. What am I missing? LOL

Speaking of Deggs...maybe he can come back...rumor is SHSU fans are not happy that they went from Supers to missing postseason...no contjnued growth and they want him out now that their bar is set high...we’ll see!!

Hilarious dude. I’m sure you’d be one of these fans that really think that 2013 and 2014 just happened, right ? No common denominator here at all. None.

Look, I don’t want to get sideways with good baseball fans more than I already have. I understand former players are wondering what’s going on and I get that. I understand that fans want answers and I get that too.

I’m just posting what I’ve been told by people that I trust. People that have very rarely steered me wrong. Roster will be totally different, coaching staff decisions were made before the end of the season and JT will not be our hitting coach.

These threads always devolve into people taking shots at Robe and what he HASNT done for this program. I’m just reminding you all, even the Robe haters, what Tony has done here (with regards to sustained national success, not just 2000 & 2014) is nothing short of a miracle. I refuse to bash a guy that literally looks at our program like we do. With passion and love.

Don’t worry. Like I said months ago, we will all be happy with the end result.

Half or more of the 2018 freshman position players who Talbot recruited were either cut or sent to a JUCO. There’s your roster change. Of course we have new kids coming in but do you really believe that we’ll see a total revamp of position players from what we saw last season ? One outfielder will be new and by the grace of God, hopefully we get some corner infielders that can hit and drive in runs. On to the coaching staff. We all know what’s happing there. Talbot wasn’t fired, Jake Wells comes in a “co-hitting coach” (yes I said co) because that’s what it’ll be, Babs goes to Baseball Ops and Freeman is still the pitching coach. I’m sure we all could use a happy ending though.

All of what you stated may be true, but I'm going to what to see what happens before I jump off the bridge with a loose around my neck. I spoke to Coach Rob yesterday and he said the changes will be made, either he will turn it around or the game will pass him by. I'm willing to see what happens with the changes and what they look like on fall ball. I will give him that because he has earned it in my book.
