    Not next year perhaps 2010

Next year it is 2 games, there and neutral.

We did leave way two many men on base.

At least the hits were there.

No excuses hear either. LSU did not make mistakes. That is why they won the game.

As far as LSU coming to Lafayette. I will believe it when I see it. From what I heard, we could play them twice next year. Once in Baton Rouge (of course) and once in New Orleans at Zephyr Stadium.

Solich pitched very well. Unfortunately our defense let him down, as usual. It was a good game. LSU has better athletes top to bottom in their line up, not much better, but better. Their hitters are all agressive and they make contact. Either they are just better hitters or they have a better hitting coach. This game was proof of why we are where we are this year. Decent pitching, no timely hitting and poor defense.

Let's hope we get into the conference tournament and see what happens from there. I don't think we'll do anything, but you never know.

Coach Sczef, if you are out there and reading this, "Either recruit better, or spend more time in the batting cages with the hitters."

Solich should have been yanked at the end of the 4th for Glass. Two errors did nothing to help our cause. Once again we struggle with timely hitting. The bright side is Hawkins seems to have broken out of his slump.

I just looked at the box score. We had 12 strikeouts compared to only 5 for LSU. Their pitchers were good, but not that good.

We hit both of there guys, although they were both freshman. Sitting in left field when matt made the catch, beautiful. Three errors, my stomach hurts. Glass looked incredible, he had the hook droppin. There new staadium looks like its gonna be HUGE.

Just dropped in to say good game. Was the most exciting I've been to this season, although I haven't been to many.

It was said that the game was a sell out. In fact wasn't there some sort of controversy about State not coming through with tickets that had been paid for by a group of Cajun fans. The explanation being that no tickets were available. Yet, I saw lots of empty seats, and very little red anywhere in the stands.
