About 3 weeks into the conference season when it wasn’t looking real good I said it would suck for Monroe to eliminate us from the conference tourney at our own place. I will now graciously eat that crow! One thing I never did was doubt Robe and his commitment to this team. When people said the game has passed him by, he was riding the clock....I defended him and argued with those folks and said he has earned the right to get this corrected. People wanted Maggard to step in, people wanted him gone. I never thought that should happen. As he openly admits this isn’t the standard for this program, but this turnaround is one of the better ones he’s had with a team that was left for dead most of the season. These kids have guts and grit like some of the successful teams we have had. I’m sure there was some turmoil amongst them but to be able to get everyone pulling in the right direction was a great job by this staff. And that needs to be commended. Great job by this team

25 in a row is one of the most amazing statistics I have ever seen in any sport. To happen in a sport like baseball defies logic. One day they will defeat the Cajuns but it won't be in 2018.
