Yes. Afterwards we accepted a bid to the “Always: Discreet Boutique Bowl” at Malone Stadium in Monroe, Louisiana. Lynn Rollins has the call on Cox Sports at 8:20 am on Christmas Day. No official announcement from the University yet, but UTEP is listed as the opponent. Vegas has them as a 12.5 point favorite.

Yup, I sat in Cajun Field for the very first game in September of 1971, watched some exciting games, cheered on the likes of Brian Mitchell and Jake Delhomme. But never in all my years was I as excited about Ragin Cajun Football as that moment the ball cleared the goal posts in our first New Orleans Bowl.

Thank you Hud for that memory.

I understand the stroll down memory lane. I was at all of the New Orleans Bowl games. And no doubt... the first was the special one.

We're way ahead of our dark years. I think we're setting the stage to experience new peaks. And there are always valleys with peaks. It's the self-inflicted valleys that I'd like our programs to stay clear of.

The record books show it didn’t happen. The reason for that vacated win happened under HUD. He may have been oblivious and we all knew who won those games, but HUD’s official record is floating around .500.
