Well there is some ways to do it without saying we are champions
For example: Put on school newspapers, and the advertiser, online, on local television and radio stations, saying when the Sunbelt Conference Championship game is.
At this point you are just trying to get people to think about it.
Hand out flyers around school at major student gathering places
All it is subconscious subliminal advertising once and if we host people will say hey that’s December 4th I would like to go
Instead of people will make other plans and not show up. We are diehards most fans are not
How many fans look at Ragin Pagin a couple 100 maybe
I’d guess our head coach. You still have 3 west games left and east game. Promoting us hosting the championship game already is just bulletin board material for everyone left on the schedule, look they don’t respect you enough they are already selling tickets to a game that assumes they win out. No thanks, I’m sure Billy would feel the same
Simply promoting the game itself is one thing, sending out ticket requests is a little different. Lock up the west, then you can do like they did with the bowl games...if we host do you want a ticket, if we go to app do you want a ticket, if we go to coastal do you want a ticket etc.
Come on guys we are not saying we are in it, all we are doing is promoting the game. We don’t have to say we are going or we are even hosting. These are cheap effective ways to promote
You’re not selling anything tho…
Putting word out there of the possibility keeps people engaged and ahead of the 8 Ball
All we need is a "Save the Date" campaign and why.
No talk of Championship game until it's locked up. Coaches and players need to be focused on the next game.
It's sad to think that you'd have to promote a Championship game 7 weeks in advance to get a decent crowd.
Lafayette has proven they don't give a rat's ass about the Cajuns over the last few years. Anyone who expects more than 20k for that game is dreaming.
