I’m talking about everyone saying our hosting opportunities are now gone…they were gone when we lost 2/3 to rice and lost 4 Q4 games before the Coastal series. I’m not dogging anyone out, but we were never hosting with our RPI.

I get it. But if you start 9-8 then go 37-2, the committee takes that into account.

I don’t think they do. Especially when you have SBC on your sleeve and an RPI of 26, general estimation as to where we would land on selection Sunday in this hypothetical scenario.

Correct. Heavy correlation between host and RPI. Since the field was expanded to 64 you can probably count on one hand the number of teams who hosted with an RPI outside the top 20.

    Do they?

One game at a time. Win the Sun Belt regular season and we will get an at large bid. That's all that matters at this point. End of story.

SBC conference rank essentially now tied for 4th through 7th with Big 10 and Big East as well as Pac 12...

Not sure how this finishing over the next few weeks will impact things as far as number of bids the SBC gets...

Brian - when was the last time a SBC regular season champ was left out of the Tournament?

Houston Christian and rice are basically the same opponent this year.
    Rice 15-25 rpi 213
    HCU 15-25 rpi 214

    Let’s get over it.

We have a formidable opponent coming to town this weekend.

If we fester over last nights result, it may repeat itself.
