Thread: Offense

The O line played well but could use some room for improvement. Our running game didn't really do much outside of the Middle Tennessee game and while our running backs are young, some of the blame has to go to the O-line. As for pass blocking, they did a good job but I get the feeling that some of their mistakes were masked by Blaine's ability to move around in the pocket and scramble. There were some games where Blaine got BEAT UP (Arkansas state game comes to mind). The protection has to get better if we want to have Blaine play a full season next year. The pass protection will also get better with an improved running game. Now with that said, our offense was great last year. They exceeded all our expectations. Remember how after the Kent State game everyone was MUCH more concerned with our offense than with our Defense? They will only get better too. Yes they lose Green but Thompson, and Pettis will be solid and our WR corps will be STACKED. O-line play and running game has no where to go but up as well. The offense should be big for us next year.

I agree. I saw the WRs make terrific adjustments on most of those deep routes

Again---the position Coach of the year goes to the University of Louisiana's Jorge Munoz!!!!! They blocked, they didn't hold, they caught everything that they should have, and they made spectacular catches!!!! And do you guys remember last year and the number of crucial drops????? As a former Cajun receiver coach---I say he is the best we have ever had here!!!!

I think oh great a thread on the offense maybe there is someone out there with a brain that appreciates all that our oline did this past year. Why would I ever believe that because once again an oline bashing thread. We played the players we played because they work hard and earned their positions. They weren't the second choice because a JC player didn't come along. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRr

I am tired of them being blamed for everything....stop making the oline the scapegoat for everything with this team.
    Good Grief
