There was also some talk around the office of the possibility that since the game was on ESPN, this helped generate the low rankings. People pointed out that not all of America has extended cable and that many past Championship games were on ABC.
Not making a case either way and don't know the validity of the argument, but curious as to whether this made a difference or not.
Just say no to rematch.
A lot of people that were sick and tired of hearing about how great the SEC was this year. Personally, I didn't want to watch a SEC West game being pawned off as a national championship game. BCS title games should be for conference champs IMHO.
Living in another part of the country gives me a little perspective. Everyone here openly recognized that LSU and Bama were the two best teams in the country. And I work with a bunch of football loving guys, but no one talked at all about getting together to watch the game.
