Sun Belt refs calling the Saints game? Must be...that was easily one of the worst calls I have ever seen. Contact with the receiver's head...with his hand. What a sad state of affair the NFL is in when you can't even put your hand on another player's helmet. Not on the facemask, not pulling the facemask...just touching is illegal. That's sad.

Also I was always taught the ground can't cause a fumble. Most be Belt officials.

I didn't know the play stops on a fumble....Brees's fumble should have been a Lions defensive touchdown easy. These Sun Belt refs are causing havoc around the country.

Actually it shouldn't have even been lions ball. The whistle had blown the play dead before they recovered.

I never do. Fact is no one recovered the fumble before the play was ruled dead so saints should have kept the ball

The Lions clearly recovered the ball and would have gotten it. That's why it was not challenged by Payton.

The refs have completely crushed the Lions spirit. Luckily they won't be able to get away with the same garbage in San Fransisco.
