The wet spot you are referring to was one the officials noticed away from play and blew the whistle. Really if that is where you focused yesterday you missed a great game. Raymone held the preseason 1st team point guard for FAU to 4pts and fouled him out with no assists while he had 10 pts, 3 assists and no TO. We had 4 players score double digits and played hard core defense! Also in defense of your argument we need to get those kids out of those court side seats so a 250 pound player don't run into them and hurt them. I can bet those ball kids can avoid the contact on a small baseline a lot easier than those in those seats. Just saying!!!!

Anyway way to go Cajuns- take the home show on the road to WKU and MT!!

Not enough can be said about the defensive job Raymone did not only yesterday but in most games this year. So I will say more. He is one of the best defensive guards in the league and his perimeter shot
has improved. Next phase for him to work on is being able to finish around the basket. He had tough
luck in that regard yesterday. Sometimes he just puts the close in shot too hard and sometimes he has his head down as he goes to the goal. In reality the running layup is a much more difficult shot than
most people realize. The open perimeter shot is actually much easier as not as much athletic skill is required on the set shot
as is needed on going to the basket. A good approach on going to the goal is "go up strong, drop it in
softly". Easy to say, difficult to do.

Cajunsmike --I had a similar experience when my daughter played at Loyola and I was hanging with all the guy players as she dated/ married one---A big dude 6'8" who had a role in the movie "Glory Road" would go up and just bang the ball against the glass --a sure miss---I told him he had to be like the month of March--had no idea till I mentioned go in/up like a lion and let it out (THE SHOT)like a lamb!!!!! Couldn't help but to recall that after your post----Glad to see all the knowledge on the board---LOL!!!!!

Good point JAY, but we do need to make a change with the ball boy situation... Raymone did play all out I loved to see that. We looked good and aggressive and played really hard all night... I like our chances thsi year...
