I seen something a few days ago but I can't remember where. And it said that Southall only bench pressed 185 2 times which isn't good from a center.Originally Posted by Hatch

Seriously though that shouldnt affect his draft position, I wouldn't think.
Thanks for the update. I hope he gets his chance somewhere.

It's wrong to compare Southall and Mitchell because Mitchell is such a freak athletic.Originally Posted by Tripple Threat
They play two different positions, they can't be compared. The predraft camp stats should be compared by position, but this is the way they are presented after the results are tallied. My interest is in both players.Originally Posted by Clutch0364
I'll show the comparisons to some of the players who might be compared to Southall...
Paul Milsap-bench press(185)x15, no step vertical-28.5, running vertical-32.5, 3/4 court sprint-3.3
Yemi Nicholson-bench press(185)x8, no step vertical-26.5, running vertical-26, 3/4 court sprint-3.65
Michael Southall-bench press (185)x2, no step vert.-31.5 in, running vert. 37 in., 3/4 court sprint-3.51 sec
By the way, Jordan Farmer from UCLA, was the only player to out jump Mitchell (no step vert.-33.5 and running vert.-42. Overall, this info is pretty cool stuff if you ask me...I'm excited to see how things turn out.
10.Michael Southall 6-11 260 C LA-Lafayette Sr. --
Southall is very long and athletic but lacks the skill level and decision making to become a top performer. His run ins with the law in high school linger in scouts minds, and his inability to stand out at the Orlando pre-draft camp means he likely goes undrafted.
I think Southall will likely end up overseas playing basketball. Southall's run-ins with the law probably weigh heavy on the minds of pro-scouts. Granted I was happy to have Southall on the team last season. Yet, his overall attitude seems to be poor. I think scouts see that he doesn't have the drive or determination to push himself at the next level.
Looks like Michael Southall will be with the Heat this summer and Tiras Wade will be with the Bulls.
Dwayne and Orien aren't listed on any rosters so far and the Spurs and Bucks are the only teams not to release their rosters yet.
Thanks that is great news! What if ALL four made it to the NBA, wouldn't that be great!!!????
