Brittany Bryant will look back on numerous highlights and hundreds of victories when she wraps up her senior year with the No. 18-ranked Louisiana Ragin' Cajun softball team.

When you reach the Women's College World Series as a freshman, you know you're into something special.

Now, thanks to extensive renovations being made to Ragin' Cajun Softball Park, Bryant and the rest of UL's seniors - Danyele Gomez, Ashley Evans, Ashley Kirchberg, Leslie Pierce and newcomer Krystal Lewallen - will be able to point to even more evidence of their success.

Brick walls now line both the right field and left field borders, while workmen are busy laying the groundwork for new dugouts, batting cages, more grandstand seating and new box seats at the park. There's even talk of expanding the squad's locker rooms.

"It makes you feel like your four years here have been special," said Bryant, a fixture at second base for UL. "This kind of recognition supports us a little more. We feel we've done a good job in the community and on the field, and it's like a reward.

"It's going to be very nice."
