Gautier, who helped lead the Cajuns to their first bowl in more than 40 years and a rallying victory in the R&L Carriers New Orleans Bowl, threw for 2,488 yards and 20 touchdowns despite playing in only nine full games for Louisiana. The junior from Paulina led the Sun Belt Conference in touchdown passes and was the most efficient passer in the league with a rating of 150.33, while completing 63.2 percent of his passes.

One particular school in Baton Rouge takes the nominations then sends out the list for voting. The list of winners and story is sent out at least a day in advance so editors across the state can proof it. Obviously no one did, which is pathetic and sad.
