Wasting a spot :confused: You're always going to have players on college rosters that only "support" the team by practicing hard and running scout teams. Hardly a waste. This isn't the NFL where you only have50-60 spots for players.

so we should only recruit players who's grandpa are cajun fans? If anything you can only hope that charlie becomes good enough to play and his grandfather will share some of his multi-million dollar worth with the program. And as long as he is not on scholarship he is definately is not waste. The chance of his grandfather helping the program which is need of money, he is worth the spot on the team just for that!
