I think the offense is designed around him which makes him look like a ball hog. Notice down the stretch, especially within the last 2 minutes, he was the only one really looking to take the shot. He would pass the ball only to get it back after he takes 2 steps away from the defender.

I agree. The few times he didn't shoot it they had a shot clock violation

His daddy was watching from a suite so the kid wanted to put on a show. I think many of the plays were designed for him to take the shot.

We have not played a game all season with a fully healthy team. Looking back on things, maybe JJ
should have been held out the first few games as he was not ready to go at that time. That is a major
reason we are below 0.500 at this point. When he is healthy, the energy he brings to the team rubs off
on everyone else. By no means is he a perfect player as he turns it over too much. However he is one of the toughest guys we have and we sure have missed that. Recall we did not have Josh Brown for a few games and now we don't have Scottie Farrington who would help us defensively and on the glass. Make no mistake, that was a quality team we defeated tonight-one going to the Big East and with a win over the
defending national champs on a neutral court. I am not getting too excited as we have not won a road
game yet and you have to do that before you earn respect and get true self confidence. However, the
effort tonight is encouraging.
