He is a fast linebacker and a less than fast running back. As I recall that was the book on him during recruiting, but HUD gave him a chance and he apparently saw what the recruiters saw.

As a LB he will be able to give a lot more concussons than he will risk taking. He is also a beast on Special Teams. I'm thinking he was an all state LB as a sophomore before he became all world at RB.
You have to remember that Griffen got the concussion on special teams making a big tackle, not running the ball on offense.

No history of the Concussions and it was a kick to the head with the guy running full speed----Been there and was very bell rung from an accidental kick!!!!

The bigger schools did court him but scaled off with him being a severe grades risk. It was widely thought that Qyen would not be eligible out of high school but he was able to kick butt that spring to bring his grades up enough only to flag the NCAA with that improvement which was why there was considerable worry that he would not be cleared to play this past season.

It will be a miracle if Qyen plays football for 3 more years. He's a couple of concussions away from serious problems. I hope the best for him though.

Where have you gotten the medical info on Qyen??? All this should have remained fully confidential if any of it is true!!!!

If Troy Aikman and Steve Young can still speak in coherent sentences with all the concussions they had...a concussion or two will not kill his career.
