Someone on the CUSA board reported that Houston has narrowed their choice to HUD and Dykes of La Tech. Reportedly, UH is willing to pay $2M.

Don't know if there is anything to that. Will be a lot more comfortable when his contract is finalized. Nothing is a given. Just ask Pitt.

Today, the Houston Chronicle is reporting that UH interviewed 4 candidates:

Tony Levine - UH Interim Head Coach
Jason Phillips - UH Co-Offensive Coordinator & Special Teams Coach
Joe DeForest - OSU Associate Head Coach and Special Teams Coordinator (former UL player who also interviewed for UL job)
Brent Pease - Boise State Offensive Coordinator

Hopefully, Coach Hud's name will not surface again.

Apparently Ellis Johnson is the new HC at Southern Miss. The Houston Chronicle doesn't mention Dykes but he also interviewed.
