Give UL-Lafayette and fans their due: A letter to the editor

What's the deal burying UL-Lafayette's nail-biter New Orleans Bowl win back on Page 11 of Sunday's Sports section?
Your own Money section projected 40,000 visitors for the game. Is there some petty rivalry between New Orleans and Lafayette? Or do the Uptown powers that be (i.e., Sugar Bowl) have you looking down your noses at this upstart bowl?
The game showcased some top-notch talent; UL-Lafayette did our state proud on a national stage; 40,000 visitors deserve front-page recognition, and a good many of us yats were welcomed with open arms in Lafayette post-Katrina and learned what true Cajun hospitality is.
How about some respect for the victorious Ragin' Cajuns?
