I don't think that's what people are referring to when they talk about a team's "scoring defense". They are referring to the amount of points given up by the defense.

    The guy's still an idiot.

Not a surprise. Recording off of his mommy's couch while everyone else is at work.

  4. Default Cox4 to replay New Orleans Bowl on Friday

University of Louisiana fans can relive the excitement of the 2011 New Orleans Bowl with a Friday night replay on Cox4, the flagship for the Ragin' Cajuns TV Network. The replay will begin at 6 p.m. with the 30-minute pregame show ...

The guy doing the the highlights is Jim Basquel(SP). He used to work for WWLTV in NOLA. The ULALA was intentional but probably not mean spirited. He just thought he was being witty.

    Default What Would BJ Say?

I stopped by the Ragin Cajun Atthletic Alumni Facebook page and noticed a nice post by Jay Walker. Jay said "Just wanted to stop by and say congratulations to all of you. If you put sweat equity into the Cajuns' football program, Saturday night was as much about you and what you did to help us get to this point. Thanks for being Ragin' Cajuns. Enjoy this." It is a nice thought. I was around during the Sam Robertson years, sio I'm not real sure that we actually contributed anything to the effort, but it was a real nich thought. (Thanks Jay.)

It started me thinking about some of the people that were around back then and their commitment to the program. You can't do that without thinking of BJ Landry. I started to think about how happy BJ must be about now. My guess is that even the angels that don't follow football have heard about the Cajuns from BJ in the last two days. Can angels do backflips?

This would be a good place to post about other people you have known with a commitment and love for the Cajuns like BJ's (Big Lynn Williams and Gerald Broussard come to mind. Dan McDonald also.) We should celebrate them too.

    Miss you BJ.

    Default Re: Bowl Champion Merchandise?

David from La Hot Stuff was on 1420 this morning. He said that he's picking up the 4th shippment of UL NO Bowl merchandise today because it's selling so fast. I believe he said that they would get in the Bowl chanpionship hats tomorrow. I believe they have the championship shirts that were sold right after the game plus the shirts with the score printed on them.
I went by Academy last night and they were really picked over. Only had stuff on one table and one rack in the front; but the common sizes were gone. I think they still under estimate the demand.

Actually over 12,000. 12,613 to be exact. Attendance reported at 42,841. I'll do a Boomer and say we had 43,000.

I'm happy for Big Lynn...that guy is Ragin Cajun Football. Always has been. Another person...Troy Wingerter. I was happy Troy was able to stay on the staff after Bustle left, but I think nothing can compare to Saturday night for him, for Big Lynn, for BJ Landry, hell for all of us. Finally...It's great to be a Ragin Cajun.

Default 9 wins... New Orleans Bowl Champs... Whats next?

    1. Get Huds contract done. Call the press conference to announce it and have Hud push season tickets then. Get a phone number and email out ASAP. Get KATC, KLFY and all other outlets to mention it. Make sure to let people know Tulane is coming in.
