this is good stuff
agree, they chopped the replay up. I would love to get a copy of this game. I was as excited watching tonight as I was in the Dome last night. I still can't speak right.
Nice set of photos! Thanks for posting them. Where are you out of?
Blaine Gautier drove Louisiana-Lafayette 44 yards to the Aztecs 38 to set up what was initially a 55-yard attempt, but a pre-snap penalty on SDSU for trying to bait the Cajuns into a false start moved the winning kick 5 yards closer. Aztecs ...
Great story!
NEW ORLEANS – Forty-one years was worth the wait, but no true Ragin’ Cajuns fan should have been surprised by the finish. Louisiana's Ragin'Cajuns kicker Brett Baer's last second heroics ended San Diego State's hope for the come-from-behind win in the ...
40,000 stories. Maybe we will hear them all. Thanks for sharing. Unfortunately mine begins and ends with my partner in crime (wife) and the flu. Poor thing spent the entire weekend in the hotel. My little west Texan tried to cowgirl-up but nearly passed out on the way to Acme. Blaine Gautier she is not, so, like a gut-shot soldier, she told me to carry on without her.
I've watched and played a LOT of football in my 48 years, I've enjoyed when my favorite teams (Redskins and Saints) have won the Superbowl. I've enjoyed the success of LSU (yes even LSU), BUT NOTHING, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING I've ever experienced in sports compares to watching the Ragin Cajuns, including the 12th man, pull this win off. When SDSU scored with 35 seconds left, I was stunned, then I turned to my wife and screamed WE STILL HAVE 35 SECONDS!!!!! WE'VE DONE IT BEFORE!!!! But I'll have to admit, when it was going to be a 55 yarder, I thought, oh no, it's too long....then after the 5 yd penalty, I still didn't think Baer had the leg, I knew it'd be straight enough, but just too long. My legs were weak and actually shaking. I could barely stand. Then the ball was on it's way, OH MY!!!!!!!!! WE DID IT!!!!!!!!! CAJUNS WIN!!!!!! What was left of my voice, I lost in the next few minutes of yelling, high-fiving, and hugging my stadium neighbors. I'm so happy for and proud of the boys that left everything on the field, every play of every game. They deserve to be called Bowl Champions. And I'm glad I've been a Cajun fan for 30 years. IT MAKES IT JUST SO MUCH SWEETER!!!!!!!! I love Acadiana area, I love UL school, and I love the Ragin Cajuns sports teams. I'm so glad to see that more of the community is finally supporting our school and team!!!! THANKS COACH HUD FOR GIVING US AN OPPORTUNITY TO HELP HOLD THE ROPE!!!!! I never played college football, but I feel like a part of the RAGIN CAJUN Football TEAM!!!!!
Let's do it again next year!!
